The Settings page on the NurseTasks Educator Dashboard allows you to customize and manage key aspects of your institution's clinical tracking platform. This guide provides a breakdown of each tab available in the settings section and how to use them effectively.
Account Tab
The Account tab displays your profile and institution-specific information.
Key Features:
User Details: View name and email address. Edit profile picture (optional).
Institution Seats: Check the total number of seats allocated to your institution and how many are currently available.
Change Password: Update your current password by clicking the Change button.
Classrooms Tab
The Classrooms tab allows you to manage all classrooms within your institution.
Key Features:
Classroom Overview: View a list of all classrooms.
Edit Classroom Details: Update classroom names, clinical hours, assigned students, and assigned instructors.
How to Edit a Classroom:
Find the classroom you wish to edit and select the pencil icon on the right.
Update as needed.
Save changes to finalize updates by selecting the blue check icon.
Exit without saving changes by selecting the red X icon.
Delete by selecting the red trashcan icon.
Students Tab
The Students tab provides an overview of all students within your institution.
Key Features:
Student List: View and manage all registered students.
Add New Student: Quickly add a new student to the system.
Edit Student Information: Update a student’s first name, last name, or email address.
Save changes to finalize updates by selecting the blue check icon.
Exit without saving changes by selecting the red X icon.
Delete by selecting the red trashcan icon.
Deleting a student does not credit a seat back to your account.
How to Add a New Student:
Click the Add New Student button.
Fill out the required fields (first name, last name, and email).
Save the student record to complete the process.
Adding students requires available seats.
Instructors Tab
The Instructors tab provides a comprehensive list of all instructors.
Key Features:
Instructor List: View and manage all registered instructors.
Add New Instructor: Add instructors to your institution.
Instructor role: The user will have access to assigned classrooms only.
Super Admin role: The user will have access to the entire educator dashboard account.
Edit Instructor Information: Update their first name, last name, or email address.
Delete Instructor Records: Remove an instructor if necessary.
How to Edit Instructor Information:
Select the instructor you want to update.
Edit their information directly in the provided fields.
Save changes to update the instructor record.
Skill Templates Tab
The Skill Templates tab allows educators to create and manage skill templates for clinical tracking. These templates act as a rubric of minimal required competency for each classroom.
Adding a template to a classroom enables automatic skills progress tracking.
Key Features:
Create New Skill Templates: Design customized skill templates to suit your program's specific needs.
Edit Existing Templates: Update or adjust templates as required.
How to Create a Skill Template:
Click the Create New Template button.
Enter a template name and add the desired skills.
For each skill, choose the ability by selecting the + and - buttons on the ability level you desire (performed, assisted, or observed). The total count will be updated accordingly.
Save the template to make it available for use.
Edit a Skill Template
Select the desired template you would like to edit.
Add new skills, delete skills, or edit the names or ability requirements for any of the skills.
Save the template.
If you edit a template, the updated version will be applied to all students currently assigned to it. The students’ requirements and existing analytics will also be updated accordingly.
Delete a Skill Template
Select the desired template you would like to edit.
Click the red trash can icon in the upper right.
Confirm that you would like to delete the classroom. Note: This cannot be undone.
